Mindfulness Based Mentoring for a Flourishing Life

What do I understand by mindfulness based mentoring?

I make my knowledge, skills, insights, mindfulness and extensive range of contact competence available to the mentee without restrictions in communication and interaction.

I understand mentoring as an art of process work in freedom - non-hierarchical and open-ended!

In the joint process work, the mentee remains and stands in self-responsibility.

What are the benefits of mentoring for the mentee?

In the communicative-dialogical work between mentor and mentee, resources, core and conflict competencies are reflected, intensified and further ones are revealed. New development steps are initiated and the individual space for sustainable changes and development is opened up.

When is mentoring needed?

Very often habitual patterns and reactivity determine our lives, keeping us strongly in dysfunctional thinking, communicating, acting and states of mind and body. This is happening in private as well as in occupational settings.

My mentoring work is dedicated to liberate from dysfunctionalities by fostering desire, courage, soul, experimentation in creative processes (see Stephen Batchelor's cartography of care).

Looking deeply inside how our conditioned mind works and comprehend it in the manifold relationships of daily living are also key for taking up the path to a (more) flourishing life.

Situational ethics, not morality, an ethics of care play a vital role in realising the life one aspires to.

In short: Mentoring is needed when the mentee pursues the goal to develop further in professional and / or private life.
