I have been very much involved in the Bodhi College (http://www.bodhi-college.org), which began offering courses at the beginning of this year. Twenty-three students from eleven different countries have now completed two of the six modules of our two-year Secular Dharma course.

Bodhi College offers an ethical and philosophical framework for those practising meditation and the Dharma in today’s world by drawing on the early teachings of the Buddha before they became codified into the doctrines of the different Buddhist traditions.
The College is non-sectarian and unaligned with any Buddhist orthodoxy or particular school.
Dies hat etwas zwiespältiges: Einerseits empfindet man sich als nicht einer Tradition verpflichtet, auf der anderen Seite sucht man nach dem originär en, unverfälschtem. Von daher würde ich erwarten, dass man auch in Bezug auf Meditationsanweisungen so vorgeht.
Während ja schon Batchelors Frau Martine im Koreanischen Seon verwurzelt ist, der ja nicht unbedingt früh buddhistisch zu nennen wäre.
